Early Detection Work Group
Goal: Detect cancer at its earliest stages.

Lisa Stephens (NCI Cancer Information Service) and Nancy Baxter (Univeristy of Minnesota Cancer Center) led this work group.  The detection work group wrote objectives and strategies to address the detection goal of Cancer Plan Minnesota, "Detect cancer at its earliest stages."

Early detection is the detection of disease among people who do not yet have symptoms, usually through a screening test.   Detection of cancer at an early stage can greatly improve chances of survival.  This section of the website will eventually house the portions of Cancer Plan Minnesota which address early detection.

How does this work? MDH Library staff created search topics for top tier objectives. These searches are meant to assist work group members to develop evidence-based objectives and strategies.  Every time you click on a topic, new articles in PubMed will be added to the search. All searches are restricted to English-language only. The most current articles will always be first.
