Evaluation Committee Member Job Description
Purpose

The Evaluation Committee monitors progress toward meeting the objectives of Cancer Plan Minnesota.  It is also responsible for ensuring the overall quality and usefulness of evaluation data obtained, and reporting results to the Steering Committee, its partners and funding agencies.  

 

Evaluation Committee members are familiar with evaluation tenets. They provide expertise in the areas of process and outcome evaluation, data collection, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of data. Ad hoc members with specific expertise are also called upon as necessary.

 

Responsibilities

·         Assisting Alliance committees and workgroups with evaluation needs

·         Developing instruments and tools to collect information needed for evaluation

·         Overseeing implementation of the evaluation plan

·         Monitoring and reporting on progress toward Cancer Plan Minnesota objectives

·         Overseeing analysis and interpretation of evaluation data

·         Advising the Steering Committee regarding evaluation requirements and resource needs

·         Drafting and reviewing the annual report

·         Updating the evaluation plan as necessary

 

Reporting

The evaluation co-chairs will report evaluation measures and progress to the Steering Committee. They will also be prepared to provide quarterly reports to the Steering Committee when appropriate.

 

Term

The term of this committee is January 2006 - January 2008.
