RESOURCE CATEGORIES

  • Need descriptions
  • Test with lay public for meaning
  • Stay clear with resource vs. info (audience did confuse this at times)

 

COMMUNICATION TACTICS (suggested)

  • Libraries and other resources for those without Internet access
  • Add hot topics or upcoming events
  • Add a line about the site/resources in one or more foreign languages so people know how to contact someone for help using the Web site
  • Put cancer resources in the phone book with web address, and a phone number
  • Audiences to include: workplaces, schools, clergy, social workers, pharmacies
  • Alliance member organizations should link to this site from their sites (two-way street)
  • Work with community health workers – they want us to present to the workers via MCTC contact Pauline Cahalan)

 

TECHNOLOGY FEATURES

  • How about a filter or icon for “free or low cost”
  • Do usability testing (how about at community resource centers)
  • Personal reports feature where I check the ones I want and it prints out those

  • Reaching caregivers
