Friend to Friend Program - American Cancer Society
Friend to
Friend is a mammography group intervention program designed to encourage women
40 and older to get regular mammograms for the early detection of breast
cancer. At a Friend to Friend program
(also known as a Friend to Friend party) a woman will share conversation and
refreshments in a fun and relaxed setting, hear from a health professional
about why regular mammograms are so important and discuss breast and cervical
health issues with friends. In recent years,
cervical cancer education component is added to the Friend to Friend
program.
Alliance members who are not currently
offering Friend to Friend program to their clients and/or their community
members will have an opportunity to collaborate.
