Lisa Stephens

Lisa Stephens, M.S., C.H.E.S., has worked at Mayo Clinic Cancer Center since 1999 as a partnership program coordinator for the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Cancer Information Service. This position, in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin - Madison, is responsible for providing technical assistance for the five-state North Central Region, with the aim of reducing cancer disparities.

In her role with NCI's Cancer Information Service, Stephens serves on many committees and advisory councils addressing cancer disparities in Minnesota. Additionally, she has been involved with comprehensive cancer control initiatives outside of Minnesota, including leadership roles with other state programs and regional collaborations. She has a particular interest in the promotion and education of cancer clinical trials among disparate populations. Her involvement with the development of Cancer Plan Minnesota began in 2003 and she currently serves as co-chair of the Evaluation Committee, is a member of the Membership Committee, Disparities Task Force, Cervical Cancer Project Team and Building Bridges Project Team.
