Matthew Flory, M.P.P. has worked for the American Cancer Society (ACS) for six years. Flory initially worked in the organization’s Government Relations department, which involved public policy initiatives surrounding tobacco control, breast cancer screening and access to care. He was also involved in the development of Minnesota's voluntary agreement between health maintenance organizations and health care providers around cancer clinical trials and is interested in consumer engagement strategies to help Minnesotans reduce their cancer risks.
As Minnesota's Health Promotions director, Flory leads staff working in the areas of cancer education and patient services. This work includes the development of community partnerships to address cancer disparities through prevention and early detection and health systems partnerships to improve patient access to local resources to help improve their quality of life.
