Does it cost money to join the Minnesota Cancer Alliance?
No. The Alliance is funded through voluntary donations from member organizations and individuals, and through in-kind resources.
What is the difference between an organizational contact and a steering committee member?
The organizational contact listed on the member application for organizations should be able to disseminate information about Minnesota Cancer Alliance activities to other people within their organization. The organizational contact should also be able to provide information about his/her organization to the Alliance. The nominating committee appoints steering committee members. They are chosen from among member organizations or individual members of the Alliance. Not every organization that is a member of the Alliance will have a person on the steering committee. A person on the steering committee is not necessarily the same as the person listed as the organizational contact on the membership application.
Is it possible for individuals to join the Alliance?
Yes. The Alliance seeks individual members through an application similar to the member application for organizations. Individuals who are part of an organization that is already an Alliance member do not need to join the Alliance separately. For individuals who are unaffiliated with member organizations, click here to apply as an individual member. |
