Pat McKone

Pat McKone, American Lung Association of Minnesota director for tobacco control programs and policy, has worked with comprehensive tobacco control programming for over 25 years. Program efforts include tobacco cessation, limiting youth access to tobacco, public and school based-education, and advocacy around limiting exposure to second hand smoke. McKone has presented at international, national and state conferences on these issues, and provides technical assistance to coalitions across Minnesota.

She is currently the president of the Minnesota Smoke Free Coalition. She received the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Champion of Health in 2000, and serves on numerous boards and committees working together to reduce the harm and destruction caused by tobacco.
