The Minnesota Cancer Alliance

Who we are:

The Minnesota Cancer Alliance (MCA) is a coalition of over 100 organizations from diverse backgrounds and disciplines dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer across the continuum from prevention and detection to treatment, survivorship, and end of life care.

Our members include public health and health care organizations, cancer centers, culturally diverse organizations, researchers, non-profit organizations, cancer survivors, caregivers, and advocates.

What we do:

Using Cancer Plan Minnesota 2011-2016 as our guide, we support partnerships to advocate for policies, to implement programs, and to support health system changes.  We work with partners to seek alignment, reduce duplication and leverage resources for evidence-based cancer control activities.

How we evaluate our success:

Using the indicators in Cancer Plan Minnesota 2011-2016, we utilize statewide surveillance and health care quality data to report progress.  We also survey our members to monitor satisfaction, document success stories, and seek suggestions for improvement.
