The Free Screening Day Project Team works with health systems to coordinate free colorectal cancer screening events to provide colonoscopies for under or uninsured Minnesotans. Thus far, the team has held six events, and over 100 individuals have been screened. The first two events were held in at Fairview Southdale Hospital and one was at HealthPartners in Saint Paul. A fourth was held in March 2009 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. A fifth at Unity Cancer Center in May 2009. In November, Immanuel St Joseph in Mankato held an event.
